Siri Sending Money Via N26

Siri can do lots of things. Now, she can help you send money.Startup bank N26 (formerly Number26) out of Berlin just launched the ability for customers to request, send and receive money transfers to and from their fellow N26 contacts via Apple’s iPhone personal assistant, Siri.

Let’s practice, shall we?

“Siri, send €25 to Karen through the N26 app, please.”

Basically, according to N26, all you have to do is instruct Siri to send or request a certain amount and explicitly ask to use the N26 app.

Good thing Siri won’t judge you: There’s a €25 limit on transfers.

Apple has used N26 as an example. Earlier this year, at the Worldwide Developer Conference, Apple used N26 to demonstrate how to use Siri for payments, as the Berlin bank is known as one of the many companies pushing payments into the social media world.

You may remember hearing about N26’s initial launch back in 2013. Over this past summer, PYMNTS reported that N26 not only received its official banking license but also was granted $40 millionfrom Asian billionaire Li Ka-shing. As a digital-only bank, N26 has more than 200,000 customers across Germany, Austria, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Slovakia and Spain.
