Wallet Launches Wallet Pay, Enabling Crypto Payments on Telegram via TON Blockchain
Wallet, a Telegram bot facilitating cryptocurrency transactions such as Bitcoin (BTC) buying and selling, has introduced a new crypto payment solution built on The Open Network (TON) blockchain.
The newly launched Wallet Pay service enables seamless crypto payment transactions between users and retail businesses, allowing direct payments within the Telegram interface.
In an announcement made on July 13, Wallet informed Cointelegraph that the payment feature is now immediately available in all jurisdictions supported by the wallet service.
However, it’s important to note that Wallet Pay is currently not available in the United States and countries blacklisted by the Financial Action Task Force. Restricted countries include Iran, Myanmar, and North Korea, among others.
Given that certain countries where the Wallet bot operates prohibit residents from making cryptocurrency payments, local businesses bear the responsibility for compliance when utilizing the wallet service.
