Block’s Bitcoin Wallet to Integrate with Cashapp and Coinbase

Block, the FinTech company founded by Jack Dorsey, has announced the integration of its new self-custody bitcoin wallet, Bitkey, with its financial services platform Cashapp and the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. In a recent blog post, the company revealed that public beta testing for the wallet will commence in a few weeks, followed by a global launch later this year.

Cashapp, Block’s comprehensive financial services platform, offers users the convenience of payments, stocks, and bitcoin within a single app. Coinbase, on the other hand, stands as the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the U.S. in terms of trading volume. With the upcoming integrations, Bitkey users will gain the ability to seamlessly buy and sell bitcoin (BTC) through Cashapp and Coinbase directly within the Bitkey wallet’s app.

Bitkey, a multi-signature hardware wallet device accompanied by recovery tools and a mobile app, aims to provide enhanced security and control over bitcoin assets. The complete Bitkey product suite is anticipated to launch later this year in various markets, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Brazil, Australia, and other global regions.
