Chris Tsakalakis Joins Benchmark as Entrepreneur in Residence
Benchmark has brought on former StubHub President Chris Tsakalakis as an entrepreneur in residence.
At Benchmark, Mr. Tsakalakis will explore new business opportunities in the areas of e-commerce, marketplaces and health tech, according to a news release.
Mr. Tsakalakis led eBay’s acquisition of online ticket marketplace StubHub in 2007. He was president of StubHub until 2014.
Benchmark focuses on early-stage investments in sectors including mobile, marketplaces, social, and infrastructure and enterprise software.
Previous EIRs at the firm have included New Relic founder Lew Cirne, Nextdoor co-founders Nirav Tolia and Sarah Leary, current HackerOne and former Eucalyptus and MySQL CEO Marten Mickos, and Quip co-founder and former Facebook CTO Bret Taylor.
