Nyca Partners Closed Second Fintech Fund, at over $125M

Nyca Partners, a NYC-based venture capital firm focused on applying innovation in financial services into the global financial system, closed its latest fund, at over $125m.

Fund II, which has 10 institutional investors and 29 Limited Partner Advisors with senior industry experience, has already made more than a dozen investments to date, including Axioma, EmBroker, Ladder, LeapYear, and Personetics.

Founded by MP Hans Morris, and also led by Partner & COO Ravi Mohan, Principal David Sica, and Principal Jeff Reitman, Nyca closed its $30m first fund in July 2014, which invested in more than 30 companies across four distinct fintech subsectors: merchant payment solutions, alternative credit, digital advice, and financial infrastructure.
Protfolio companies include Affirm, Artivest, BlendLabs, Lending Club, Orchard Payoneer, PayRange, Fundbox, Mirador, Poynt, Zero, Sigfig, Openfin, Nobel and TrueAccord, among others.

The firm’s Investment Partners are Osama Bedier, Brian Finn, Max Levchin, Tom Miglis, and Charlie Songhurst.
