Payroll Startup Salarium Partners With Mobile Payment Firm PyxPay

E27.CO: Hong Kong-based payroll solution company Salarium has partnered with PyxPay, a mobile payment firm, in an attempt to increase its service offerings. With this, the former will have an e-wallet that can pay employees anywhere in the world. It also recently partnered with e-money providers in several ASEAN countries for local payments.

Currently, Salarium’s payroll system provides software that carries out human resource functions such as time and attendance, payroll processing, expense management, employee database management, government due computations and employee self service applications for loans, leaves and overtimes. The linkage to PyxPay’s mobile, web and prepaid platform will help offer a full-fledged payout system called SAL Pay.

“Our solution is already helping medium and large companies with automating the time, attendance and payroll computation of their companies, by adding payment as well we aim to greatly expand our service offering,” said Judah Hirsch, CEO of Salarium.

SAL Pay can monetise payroll through its linkage with banks, financial institutions, private entities and other third party service suppliers. The solution is ideal for any offshore worker or offshore company dealing with cross border payroll, said an official release.

“Our experience in our mobile platform and payroll system interconnection has made a significant difference in the way our system and users manage their accounts,” said Maner Puyawan, CEO of PyxPay. “Financial transactions from an employee’s actual payroll run can be made directly via the mobile wallet that is linked to a payroll prepaid card. This revolutionises payout, as the employee can perform numerous secure cashless transactions through mobile phone,” added Puyawan.

PyxPay and Salarium’s systems are currently undergoing integration. Service will be implemented in the second quarter of 2015. SAL Pay will then be available on both Android and iOS devices.
